Piletto Beach, Palermo
type of beach: pebbly
     Pilleto Beach is one of 3 km of coastline of the town of Lascari and is easily accessible via highway 113 to Messina. The coast stretches toward the town of Cefalu. It is a pebbly beach lapped by clear blue sea, the seabed sloping gently toward the sea. The beach, frequented mainly by Palermitans, is just minutes from the most famous and crowded beaches of Salinelle Cefalu.

Caletta Ustica, Palermo

     The Cove of Ustica is situated on the western side of the island, east of the Marine Reserve of Ustica. This is a lovely little bay is shallow and ideal for a spectacular snorkeling experience. It is easily reached by bus from the town of Ustica, going in the direction of Punta Spalmatore towards the Saracen tower and the resort. In this delightful bay you can visit the Aquarium of the Marine Reserve.

Cala Sidoti Ustica, Palermo

     Cala Sidoti of Ustica is located on the north west of the island, west of the Marine Reserve of Ustica. This lovely cove is not very deep having dark pebbles washed by a beautiful clear sea. Swimming and snorkeling is allowed. It is easily reached by bus from the town of Ustica.

Capace spiaggia, Palermo
     The beach Capaci is about 20 kilometers from Palermo and is reached by the control unit A29 leading to Trapani, but exiting at Capaci. It is a long beach having fine white sand,and turquoise sea. The beach is sand bag free, within areas invaded by local bathers. It is also known as the Tiananmen beach, in honor of the 1989 events in Tiananmen Square, Beijing.

Mondello Beach, Palermo
     The beach of Mondello in Palermo is located between Monte Pellegrino and the imposing Monte Gallo, overlooking a small bay near the fishing village of the same name. Being only 11 km from the city center, it is a 'real town beach, frequented by Palermitans all summer long. This is a very popular beach and in summer, is crowded, noisy and filled with temporary cabins. With its white sand along a coastline of almost 1.5 kilometers, this low and sandy beach is one of the most beautiful in Sicily, especially out of season.

Gorgolungo Beach, Palermo
     The beach is part of Gorgolungo 3 km of coastline of the city of Lascari. This pebbly beach is popular among inhabitants of Palermo, and is just minutes from the more crowded beaches of Salinelle Cefalu.

Sferracavallo Beach, Palermo
     The beach of Sferracavallo is one of the most beautiful beaches of western Sicily and is accessible from Palermo. This picturesque seaside resort and tourist area is located near the fishing village of the same name.

Cala Gallo, Palermo
     Cala Gallo in Palermo, Sicily, located about 14 km northwest from the city center. In fact, it is located within the beautiful natural reserve of Capo Gallo, characterized by rich Mediterranean vegetation. It is a long stretch of rocks, shaped by waves; in some places, there's just enough beach space to relax under the sun, surrounded by a rugged landscape. The rocky coastline is washed by a sea-blue and green, with waters rich in flora and fauna. To reach the falls, you have to get from Palermo to Sferracavallo and, just before the village center, turn towards Punta Barcarelli.  Where the winter storage of boats, leave the car then walk along a path that runs along the beautiful and majestic Monte Gallo.

Sant’Ambrogio di Cefalu Beach, Palermo
    The beach of Cefalu Ambrose, located about 6 km from the town center, is easily reached from the highway towards Messina. It is a very large gravelly beach (sand mixed with stones) is  ideal for lovers of peace and tranquility as it is not known. The beach is not equipped and offers parking.

Spiaggia di Cefalu Mazzaforno, Palermo
     This coastal stretch near Mazzaforno is rich in many natural jagged rocks through jagged, although some sections are sandy and pebbly. The beach is fully equipped and private, home to villages and hotels. The emerging rocks amidst clear blue seas make the landscape charming and picturesque.

Capo Cefalu Beach Playa, Palermo
The beach of Cefalu Cape Playa, located about 4 km from the city center, 15 miles extendingnearly in Palermo, to join with Salinelle after 5 miles. The beach, whichtook its name from a popular neighborhood in the city, is very broad and characterized by a coast of sand and pebbles, with many accesses along its length. Cape Playa is very windy, a popular destination for surfers, and is bathed by the beautiful blue sea, with a bottom that deepens after just a few steps from the shore. The beach is well equipped to get there take the SS 113 towards Palermo, following the signs to the Hotel Carlton, turn right and follow the road and, after passing a level crossing, turn leftwhere there is parking, as often crowded near the hotel.

Lido Beach Cefalu, Palermo
    The Lido is the beach of Cefalů seaside city, famous for its wealth, but most tourists bylocal. This is a very charming beach, offering breath-taking vistas. The coast, renowned for its fine sand and clear sea, has a bottom that gently slopes to the sea - wonderful for swimming.  Some parts of the beach is equipped, but the rest is free for public use. There are many bars, restaurants and accommodation nearby. In high season and weekends, the beach is almost always overcrowded. 

Pollina Cefalu Beach, Palermo
     The Pollina Cefalu Beach is located about 11 km from the historical center of Cefalů. This is a beach of sand and fine gravel, loved for its beautiful crystal clear water and picturesque location. The beach is very crowded in high season, especially youths, who often organize evenings with music.

Spiaggia Salinelle di Lascari, Palermo

     The Beach of Salinelle is located in the plains of Salinelle. It is the busiest beach, being long and having golden sand and a sandy bottom that deepens a few steps away from the shore. The beach is ideal for families and friends. It is a windsurfer's paradise, too. The beach is fully equipped sorrounded by bars, trattorias and restaurants.

La Spiaggia Caldura di Cefalů, Palermo

     The Caldura beach of Cefalu, located about 20 minutes walk from the historic center of town is a wonderful pebble beach lapped by turquoise sea, a beautiful, clear and transparent, from which emerge very suggestive of brown rocks from which you can also jump . The beach is fringed by green trees and the ends are bordered by dark high jagged cliffs.

Spiaggia Magaggiari di Cinisi, Palermo

    The beach Magaggiari di Cinisi  is a marvelous beach of fine sand on the gulf of Castellammare. Its shores are shallow and rocky, and its wide beach is guarded on the right from the sixteenth century Tower Mulinazzo.
